Xavier R. Xicay is the driving force behind Tuatara Corporation, co-founding the company in 2010 and currently serving as it's CEO & President. Xavier holds a degree in Computer Science from BHCC, and a B.A. in Graphic Design from Northeastern University. Prior to Tuatara, Xavier lent his innovative mind and creative detail to two other technology start ups, while conceiving the ideas that would soon develop into GilaPad. As CEO & President, he ensures the company is ever evolving and always striving for excellence by building partnerships, broadening business relationships, and advancing development. As a pioneer, Xavier assembled a five-star team of industry experts and visionaries to revolutionize the digital learning experience.

Dr. William L. Hoover, M.D. is co-founder of Tuatara Corp and serves the Company as Strategic Advisor. Dr. Hoover is an MD, a digital author for McGraw-Hill Companies and the Lead Professor of Anatomy and Physiology at Bunker Hill Community College in Boston, Massachusetts. For the past 5 years, he has conducted research under a nationally funded STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) grant, developing digital pedagogy in Anatomy and Physiology. Recently, his pedagogical research results were published in the e-Campus News and e-School journals. Also in 2011, he received the NISOD Academic Excellence Medal in recognition for teaching and leadership excellence in institutions of higher education. In 2009, he was selected to present at The University of Oxford. In 2006, he received the Private Industry Council’s “P.I.C. Achiever Award” for helping Boston Inner City High School graduates make a successful transition to college.

Brayan brings a touch of humor and strong sense of ambition to Tuatara's marketing team. Whether he is developing marketing strategies, attracting prospective investors, or garnering new concepts and ideas, Brayan has been an integral element of the company's success. Having earned a B.A. in Business Management and Entrepreneurship from Suffolk University, Brayan put his expertise and creativity to use expanding platforms and fostering the company profile with this savvy public relations knowledge. Brayan makes it a point to enjoy every day, whether he is traveling or simply enjoying a nice day at the beach.

Jessica has a BA in Political Science and International Relations, and she is currently pursuing a law degree from New England Law in Boston. A lover of the ocean, traveling, cooking and the law, Jessica believes life is either a daring adventure or nothing.

Jeff graduated from Bryant University with a Bachelor of Science in IT. He works in the field of application analysis and design. In his spare time he loves to travel to different countries.

Drawn to software development by the challenges and inherently creative nature of software engineering, Evan enjoys solving big problems. Evan is also the co-founder of MeetYourBeat.com, a project focused on Boston-area music and has over a decade of professional restaurant experience.

When Chris is not basking in the rays of a computer screen, he enjoys traveling, playing music, gaming, and going to shows.

Dan started at Tuatara at the beginning of 2013. He is a student at Northeastern University studying Computer Science and Digital Art. Photography and longboarding are two of his biggest interests.

Stephen Burke joined the team in May 2012, after graduating from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth. He is continuously elevating his education of computer development. Primarily working with XML and CSS for the book conversion process, he is an integral part of Gilapad's textbook processing team. When he is not at Tuatara, you will find Stephen racing in 10Ks around New England.

Peihong has previous experience working as a computer technician, repairing computers and installing hardware. He has extensive knowledge of coding language, including but not limited to C++, Java, JavaScript, Visual Basic, PHP and HTML. He also has an interest in robotics and video game design.

James joined Tuatara in April of 2013. He has a background in Front End Development and Product Design. He grew up in Central Massachusetts, and he hates writing bios.

Xandor is currently a student at Bunker Hill Community College, where he engages in the study of Computer Science. In his spare time, he enjoys surfing and skating.

Ramon has over 10 years of experience in the IT field in roles as Technician, Administrator and IT Director working with enterprise level technologies for Virtualization, Storage, Networking, E-Mail and others. Ramon is certified and trained on products for Cisco Networking, Microsoft, Apple’s Mac OS X and holds a degree in IT Computer Networking. As a Network Senior, Ramon has designed and deployed network services supporting 20,000+ users in large institutions such as Bunker Hill Community College and companies outside the US. Traveling being one of his preferable pastimes, Ramon has already visited over 15 countries in his quest to learn about languages, culture, food and music. He is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and English. Intermediate level in Japanese, Korean, Italian and he is planning on learning German. For Ramon, there is nothing better than having a productive week and a relaxed weekend on the beach with a cold drink, while playing the guitar and enjoying company of good friends.

Anastasia has a keen eye for detail. She has a passion to create visually beautiful, yet functional design.

Managing Director of Excel Venture Management, a venture capital firm seeking transformative platform companies generally with an impact on health and related areas. Rick did Undergraduate work at University of Pacific and Stanford University, and his MBA degree is from Stanford's Graduate School of Business. After 16 years in corporate finance and investment banking, Rick co-founded a venture capital firm, and he is currently working with partners on what is now his sixth fund. Rick has taught classes or guest lectured at the graduate level regarding venture capital and entrepreneurship as adjunct faculty or as a guest lecturer at: Boston College, Babson, MIT, Simmons College, Harvard, and Northwestern.

Bob Lentz has extensive executive management and entrepreneurial experience in the technology industry having been involved in the growth and eventual sale of a number of successful technology ventures.Recently, Bob has been consulting to technology companies and recently was the interim CEO at Digital Reef. Prior to joining Digital Reef, he served as CEO and President of PermissionTV, an innovative online video platform company. Bob held the senior executive positions at OATSystems, Inc.; the recognized leader in radio-frequency identification (RFID) frameworks, now part of Checkpoint; and at eRoom Technology; a Web-based collaborative workspace that enables distributed teams to work together more efficiently; sold to Documentum Inc. and now part of EMC Corp.
